Inspiration: Subject Climate Change I use the theme ocean a lot in my paintings because I want to call attention for awareness of our Climate change. Worldwide we are loosing our corals because of what we humans throw into our waters and oceans. If we want to live longer, we have to stop that and make a change right now! A painting of mysteries and legends. My inspiration for this painting (40x100cm) came from the Netflix series I saw 'Shahmaran.' I dived into research directly after finishing watching the series. Shahmaran is the story of a half woman, half snake. Believed to be the queen of all snakes. They believed she lived in the Mediterranean town of Tarsus. A simular story is believed in the eastern portion of the country, named Mardin. Both shapes of those places are painted on the painting in the corals. Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head. He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles and thought to bring good luck. The patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rites and ceremonies. And once you start a painting like this, at least in my case my head gets filled with strange combinations. Done with neon colors, special effects and what else to say, this painting does explain itself. Full of details that come to life at night time. A painting to definitely have on your wall, to make the Myths & Legends come to life...
